يفضل أن تحوي غرفة نوم الأطفال علي ما يحتاجه الطفل حتى يستطيع الحياة فيها طوال الوقت ويقضي فيها أوقاته المختلفة سواء في فترة الدراسة أو الإجازة.. فغرفة نوم الطفل هي بمثابة غرفة نوم وغرفة مكتب وغرفة معيشة.. لهذا نراعي أن يحتوي التصميم علي مكتب مناسب للاستذكار وسرير للنوم ودولاب للملابس ومكتبة لحفظ الكتب أو القصص ودرج خاص لوضع ألعابه وأدواته الخاصة بهواياته ومتعلقاته الشخصية. وطبعا كل هذا يتم من خلال استخدام خامات لينة غير حادة الأحرف أو الزوايا حفاظا علي سلامة الطفل.
يجب أن يحاكي التصميم كذلك خيال الطفل عن طريق إضافة الأشكال المحببة إليه والتي يقرأها في كتبه أو يشاهدها في الكارتون.
