اقيم استاد على مساحة 1624000 م2 في غرب مدينة الدوحة
عاصمة قطر بتصميم المعماري الفرنسي العالمي روجر تالبت
احد التحديات التي قابلت فريق التصميم كانت طبوغرافيا الارض
التي تتدرج من منسوب +13 الي منسوب +20 متر فوق سطح
الارض ... تم الاستفادة من الجزء المرتفع ليكون هو سطح ملعب
كرة القدم ... شمل تصميم الاستاد ملعب لكرة القدم ومركز اعلامي
وغرف للرياضيين ومسبح وموقف للسيارات وملاعب فرعية

احتل الجزء الشرقي من الاستاد الملعب الرئيسي والمسجد وموقف
السيارات وملعب التسخين ... بينما احتل الجزء الجنوبي منه ملاعب
خاصة للرياضات النسائية ... في حين احتلت الاكاديمية الرياضية و
ملاعب التدريب والمسبح الجزء الشمالي الغربي منه ............
يبينما تم تخصص الجزء الجنوبي الغربي لنشاطات الراحة من فنادق
وسينما و صالات للبولينج والتزلج والدراجات ومتنزهات عامة

THE SITE :

Area :
The area surface which spreads over 1,624,000 m² is located in the west outskirts of the city centre. It presents an undulating topography from the level +13.00m to the level +20.00m.
The highest points are located on the site of the existing stadium (i.e. +19.00) and in the farthest west (+20.00m).
The lowest points are located on the level of the existing half-buried road (+13.00.)

The existing :
On that area, the competition stadium with the tribune, the car park, the swimming pool and a little sportss room are served by the transversal north-south road.

The remaining part of the area is free from any building.


THE PROJECT

Distribution of the various equipments :

The project is organised along two main axis :
 A North-South servicing axis constituted with the refitted existing road system.
 An East-West axis passing through the centre of the stadium constitutes the structured perspective of the project.

Those two axis define three main areas corresponding to the various functions defined by the program :
 The new competition stadium, the Mosque, the warming-up stadium and the car park occupy the whole east part.
The south part of this area includes, annexed around the existing sports room, the equipments for women activities.
 The training and teaching area in the North-West includes the Sport Hall, the Academy, the swimming-pool, the training stadiums for every sport as well as a relaxation area with a pond at its West extremity .
 The South-West area is dedicated to the leisure activities around an architectural complex composed of hotels, cinemas, a bowling, a leisure place, a velodrome.
- Various equipments are forecasted for cycling, skating, B.m.x, roller and a health route such are the elements which are structuring a green, undulating and planted landscaped park.

- All these equipments are surrounded by a system of roads to be used as access ways, a cycling circuit and training ways for foot race along about 5 km.

The East-West perspective axis, from the competition stadium till the far West will offer a large walking and leisure place
.
Below the stadium, above the central parking and going down to the renovated swimming pool, the pedestrian plazza joins the three great functional poles of the project.

This plazza is bordered with a shopping center facing the renovated swimming-pool.

Transparencies will be accommodated on the ground floor level toward all the pools and the waterfalls situated in the shade of the palm-trees.


The equipments :

The stadium and its annexes

Being the centre of the project of the general layout plan, the stadium takes again and incorporates the existing tribune and track.
Its extension will increase its capacity up to 45,000 places.
The sports field and the Athletic track situated on the level +19.00 are surrounded in the East by the existing tribune which will be renovated, in the West by the creation of a new tribune including all the annex equipments of the stadium, in the North and in the South by the ticket offices on one level with the track and the bottom of the tiers.

The new honour tribune :
It is directly accessible from the North-South road owing to a car park for 1,000 places on the level +14.00.
This car park, which is situated at the centre of the triangle constituted by the major equipments of the three areas of the general layout plan, enables the parking of the VIP cars, of the press cars and of the TV cars.
The various storage and technical areas situated on that level are also connected to the servicing axis through this car park.

Above, the large pedestrian plazza (level +19.00) leads the public to the tiers.
Under these tiers, are located the changing-rooms areas and their annexes (such as : the checking point, connection press/players, referees and the athletics’ material storage rooms).
A circulation way on both sides of the tiers gives access to the endurance competitions and to the service vehicles.

The access of the official people is made directly on the level +25.00 owing to a special road which was created from the south traffic-circle.
This level includes the honour lounges and tribunes, the exhibition lounges and the press lounges.
Three levels of balconies are completing this architectural complex.
Just beside, in the North, is situated the warming-up stadium which takes advantage of its proximity with the annexes of the main stadium.
In the South, the Mosque is accessible from the pedestrian plazza and has its own near car-parks.
Near the South traffic circle, the equipments dedicated to the women activities are focused on the existing sports room which has been renovated and aesthetically integrated into the new complex which has been created.
A building dedicated to the children abuts on it. All These equipments are served by a proximity car park.

Sports equipments for training and teaching:

The Sport hall

It constitutes the north element of the triangle formed by the major equipments of the general layout plan. The Sport hall is accessible from the pedestrian plazza on the level +19.00 and from the 1,000 places’ car park.
Under the shells which set free a unique volume without any column are gathered around the athletics track, the basket and hand-ball fields, the judo and the fencing areas.
Each sports ground is equipped with tiers which are accessible to the public from the top.
The bottom, i.e. on the fields level, is occupied by the changing rooms and the materials storage rooms.

The Academy

If you go alongside the triangle towards the outdoor training fields complex, the Academy develops two wings around the housing and meeting building :
- One for the teaching rooms, the other one for the catering.
So, the students are in direct connection with the Sport Hall and the outdoor fields.
An access road bordered by car parks is connecting them to the North-South road.

The training fields :

They are all gathered around the secondary roads which constitute the servicing and maintenance roads.
They are connected to the peripheral road and to the west relaxation area which enables the long-distance training.
A secondary North-South road connects them to the equilibrium sports area (such as skating, roller) and makes them in direct communication with the Sport Academy and the Sport Hall.

Leisure, show and housing equipments

The South of the triangle is centred around an architectural complex constituted by the hotel which is accessible from the pedestrian plazza on the level +19,00 and the 1,000 places car park on the low level.
Two architectural complexes made of symetric shells shelter the cinemas and the bowling as well as the leisure equipments.

In the South, the velodrome surrounded by tiers enables to follow the competitions and the arrivals of the outdoor cycling races.
A particular attention has been brought to the landscaping planted area in order to create an attractive setting where to enjoy walking and to be a pleasant place for health recovery.
On that purpose the health places and the sliding games are distributed between the planted areas.


Access and evacuation to car parks:

The car access differ according to their functional use :

The North-South axis connecting the two outside traffic circles define two main areas.
o The stadium area and its 5,000 places car park, the training and the leisure areas.
o The public car park of the stadium which offers six particular way-in and out distributed along the outside roads according to the parking repartition into more reduced areas.

The V.I.P., the players and the press can accede to the 1,000 places car park under the plazza.
This car park is also accessible from the Sport-Hall, from the hotel, from the shopping-centre and from the swimming pool.

Inside the training and leisure areas, proximity car parks are distributed on the level of the Academy,of the mosque, of the ladies’club rooms as well as from the health route and the pool.
They are accessible from the main road and from the entrance situated at the west extremity.
The park is not wholly closed, but a fence will be provided for the stadium and the training areas to ensure the tranquillity of the sports people.


Energy Center :
This building concerns all the energy powers necessary to the whole site (power superior to 100 megawatts) for the supplying of the electricity and of the air conditioning. It is conducted through galleries or underground networks in order to control and supply all the buildings over the site.
Inner surface of the technical building and terraces : 15,000 m².
